PRIMARY TWO

Yum Yum Yum !

Our World Around us Topic this term is Yum Yum Yum! We have explored how to eat a healthy, balanced lifestyle. We had a fruit tasting session and enjoyed predicting the taste, texture and smell of the fruit. We also used our fruit to replicate the art work from famous artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo.

The Tiger who Came For Tea

In Literacy we have been reading the story of The Tiger Who Came For Tea. Primary 2 enjoyed completing activities about our new story. We even organised our own tea party and served tea and cupcakes for everyone!

Christmas has arrived in Primary 2!

Talking and Listening - Our Weekend News.

Primary 2 have been focusing on Talking and Listening skills. We drew pictures and wrote sentences about our Halloween break and then brought them to the carpet for Circle Time. We have learnt that to show we are doing good listening we must sit properly, face the person who is talking and make eye contact with them. Well done Primary 2!

Primary 2 enjoyed investigating which was the best material for Little Red Riding Hood's coat. We decided an apron was the best material because it was waterproof. we found that the tissue paper ripped and the card turned soggy in the water.

During play this week we experimented by using pasta as Goldilocks' hair. We got to touch different textures when styling Goldilocks' hair. We washed the pasta with shaving foam, styled it with scissors and even dyed it blue using food colouring!
